Continuing for the course Umberto I after the intersection with Street Marquise German he/she meets him a monumental and scenografica stairway, adorned by the statues of the twelve apostles, to whose summit is risen with majesty the church of St. Pietro, patron of Moderate Low and built following the 1693 earthquake to the place of a temple of the XIV century.
The inside, basilicate and to three aisles, show fourteen columns supporting Corinthian capitals.
|
The central aisle is decorated with scenes of the ancient Will, while that right entertains two important "groups": "Madonna of Trapani", attributed to Giovanni Pisano and the policromo "St. Pietro and the paralytic", of Paul Civiletti in 1893.
